A note from our founder

John Daly
Founder & Managing Director
Hello everybody my name is John Daly and I created, developed and grew John Daly Refrigerated Foods Ltd into the top 3 food distribution companies on the Island of Ireland with a turnover of €14m pa. We had a wonderful time doing this and I worked with some of the finest staff and management one could have. (Always a few disappointments.)
It was extremely hard work sourcing products, building brands and delivering them in a condition fit for sale. Would you believe most of the products had between 7 days and 10 days shelf life. It was really demanding and I spent a lot of time away from my lovely wife and two children, so in 2005, I set about selling John Daly Foods Ltd. I had lots of interested parties but sold to the good people in Breeo Foods (Dairygold) in August 2006.
Mission statement
Our vision
Irelandfood.ie would like to be the preferred partner working in the background with brand owners and customers storing, marketing, establishing and selling brands that move.
Our goal
To have the best management team and workers in the industry offering service that is satisfactory, establish and maintain a business that is profitable.
“Some day Irelandfood.ie might develop its own international brand”
Services
Irelandfood.ie actively seek and welcome the opportunity to 'partner' with national and international companies and suppliers introducing new food and drink products to the Irish marketplace.

We can collect in the UK and store at our 350 pallet depot in Glasnevin in North Dublin.
Irelandfood.ie is a small but flexible operation in its infancy but can offer route to market through van sales.
We also act as a platform for distribution into the central distribution centres in the north and south of Ireland for a small fee.
We own chilled depots in Dublin and Galway which ensures that you are dealing with a John Daly, not outsourced to third parties.
History
Irelandfood.ie has no history as it is just born in February 2009.
Having no history means we have no losses and a clean sheet in order to offer the best practice when it comes to sales and distribution.
www.johndalyfoods is where it all happened and hopefully we can work hard to develop Irelandfood.ie into a similar operation but to do it much faster.
I have worked on a farm all my life and this really stood to me when it comes to innovation and moving product from A to B in a cost effective and efficient manner.

John Daly Refrigerated Foods grows into one of the top 3 food distributors on the island of Ireland.
